Engineer, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services for the United States Transportation Command. Developed Bash and PowerShell scripts in favor of automated solutions. Collaborated with cross-functional teams across the organization to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices for cloud security, optimization cost, and stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies.
Leverage Agile methodologies to implement IT projects into a customer's new/existing computer system. Responsible for assessing a customer's technological needs and determining the relevant software, hardware, and integrations needed to fulfill project requirements. Migrating customers from their on-premisis servers to our proprietary cloud services. Executing SQL scripts via CLI on databases for maintenance, rebuilds, and backups.
Utilized a POS system to handle customer transactions for sales, food, and beverages. Provided assistance involving company finances and employee payroll. Assisted in running higher-profile events such as scrambles and tournaments. Entrusted to manage the company’s website using WordPress and online presence using social media.
Shadowed the head IT professional and repaired student Chromebooks by replacing LCD displays, hard drives, I/O boards, power supplies, and RAM. Upgraded damaged or faulty charging cables, CAT5 cables, RJ-45 connectors, and projectors. Implemented and maintained new school hardware and software and tracked inventory of the school’s IT equipment and devices.
Supervised and trained employees in accordance with company standards, provided customer service, cultivated customer retention, and engaged daily closing procedures. Responsible for ensuring efficient order fulfillment. Assist in delivering product while understaffed and/or during peak business hours if order volume rose too high.
Operated military systems to support infantry and tank units in combat situations. Established, maintained, and operated communication systems, designing landscape diagrams, and mission processing in a demanding environment. Mission processing included fire plan schedules, establishing control information, and database initialization. Recipient of two Army Achievement Medals for outstanding performance during unit operations and honorably discharged.
Building a website from the ground up with a database, APIGW, custom domain, HTTPS Security, Serverless Functions triggered through APIGW written in Python, all packaged into a SAM template only utilizing Amazon's wide variety of Cloud services. Still a work in progress.
Collaborated with a team to develop a software information system for MoDOT to manage and account for all of their software licenses, track department hardware, and record maintenance history. Front end was made with React and the back end was made with Firebase written in JSON.
Engineered a VLAN of machines running Ubuntu Linux distributions in order to familiarize myself with a new OS. Expanded upon my Linux knowledge by developing a virtual penetration testing lab using the Kali Linux distribution.
Collaboratively developed a mobile application to reserve restaurant seating in Android Studio for a programming course. Responsible for backend development using Java.
Participated in building a chatbot for UMSL's Help Desk to alleviate a huge influx of help tickets after a campus-wide server outage.
